2. You did a check for me, but it said "Not available now" what does it mean? how long do I have to wait?

There are four kinds of response when doing an address check:
a. Available Now: ADSL Technology is available in the location search.
b. Not Available Now. Will be available in the near future: Expected waiting time will be 1/2 year to a year.
c. Not Available Now. ADSL is not available in your area.
d. Not defined: currently not avaible, still have to be categlorized.

3. My area is ADSL available, but why I still have to wait for ADSL?

Even though the ADSL technology is available in your area, there might not be enough lines due to high demand in your area. Telus is continuously adding more lines in each area, so it always best to be on the waiting list.

4. My Neighbours can get ADSL, how come my house address is shown as Not Available?

ADSL is limited by its geographic location. It must be within 4 km from the central office. If your location is at the boundary or outside the 4km areas, then ADSL will not be available.

5. If I apply ADSL line right now, how long do I have to wait?

If ADSL technology is available in your area, there are lines available in your area, then the installation date will be 2 business weeks from the date of application. Exact date might be changed if there is any delay from Telus.

6. What is the requirement for ADSL?

You must have a direct Telus phone line (no switchboard or ISDN line) and a network card.

7. Can I switch plans afterward?

Yes, you may. But you have to pay for the installation charge again.
