Dialers: ADSL Configuration

You can only change the settings if you're in Administration Mode. To get there:

  • select User mode from the Edit menu
  • select Administration.

Make sure you don't set a password...it's just one more thing to forget. If you set a password and forget it, you can drag the TCP/IP preferences to the trash, empty the trash, and reconfigure TCP/IP.

Setting up TCP/IP:

  • First, open the TCP/IP control panel. This is under the Apple menu, in the Control Panels folder
    Open the TCP/IP control panel

Make the following changes:

  • Connect via should be set to Ethernet.
  • Configure should be set to Manually.
  • IP Address will be assigned by AEBC.
  • Subnet Mask should be set to 255.255.255.0 unless directed otherwise.
  • Router Address will be assigned by Teleport.
  • The Name server address reads 209.53.200.2.
  • Add a secondary DNS address of 209.53.200.2.
  • Search domains is set to: aebc.com

The changes will take effect when you save them upon exiting.
