Programs: Netscape Navigator 4.x

Navigation with Netscape Communicator is a different beast than Netscape 3.0, but it's easy to manage if you remember the following things:

1. How to type in a URL

  1. Find the URL in the Address: field.

  2. Highlight the URL with your mouse.

  3. Replace it with the URL of the place you want to go.

  4. Hit Return, and you're on your way.

2. How to move back and forth from page to page

The Back button--

--allows you to go the page you had just visited.

The Forward button--

--lets you move forward again, after you've clicked Back. Play around with it, you'll understand.

3. How to add a site to your Bookmarks:

  1. Go to the site you want to add.
  2. Click on the Bookmarks button and select "Add to Bookmarks."

  3. That's it--you're done.

How to visit a site via your Bookmark list

That's simple--from the Bookmark list, select the website you want to visit.

The easy way to get to Mail and News

This button, found in the lower right-hand corner of the web browser, allows you to read mail and news, as well as access the Composer to write web pages quickly!
