Dialers: Shiva

To get to the Shiva configurations, the package must be installed. The Shiva dialler comes with the tport30 and tport32 package.

Once the package is installed double click on the Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) program group from the Program Manager.

You will see something like this:

  • Double click on the AEBC icon, which will show the Connect to box

  • Click on the Properties button

    The general tab just has some basic information, make sure the correct phone number is entered. (Vancouver: 899-8995, Chilliwack: 792-9437)

    Also for those who need MSIE to connect when double clicking on the Internet icon, make sure that 'Start Internet Explorer when connected' is checked.

  • Now click on the Modem tab

    The modem tab is important, make sure that the speed is set to 115,200 for 33.6K users, 115,200 or 57,600 for 28.8K modem users, 38,400 or 19,200 for 14.4K modem users, and 9600 for 9.6K modem users.

  • Now click on the TCP/IP tab

    Make sure that 'Server assigned IP address' is selected and for Primary DNS 209.53.200.2 is entered. For Secondary DNS enter 209.53.200.3.

  • Now click on the About tab

    This tab is where you check the version number.
